I am having problems getting the rafflecopter site to work with my blog. until then you can go to my facebook page TheCraftEGal and use the Giveaway tab located directly under my cover photo. Thank you!
I am a super perfectionist. Some of my friends were having issues serging fitteds, so whats a girl to do but make a video of how to serge the hardest of all fitted styles! Enjoy the video 🙂
I don’t think I would be able to make as many diapers without my snap press. Pliers are great for those on a budget or for traveling with but just don’t get as good of a press as the snap press does. Part of the pics and instructions for this are the same as with snap pliers because it takes the same prep work 🙂
For this tutorial you will need your snap press, snaps, diaper outer, reinforcement fabric, and awl. This is my pretty red snap press 🙂 please ignore my very ashy fireplce in the background. I like to keep my press on my fireplace hearth because I can lean on the handle without hurting my back.
Have fun snapping!
Snaps are super easy to apply with snap pliers. If you can’t afford a snap press don’t be afaid! The pliers do take some extra hand strength (or a strong man) to use though. The following is a pretty basic tutorial on how to use your snap pliers.
Ok so here we have the pieces you will need to use your snap pliers. Fabric cut, pliers with adapters, cap, and either your socket or stud piece. Make sure to double check which piece you are putting where before continuing.
Now place carefully between your pliers, making sure that the cap sits nicely in the bottom piece. Line your socket or stud up with to top piece and SQUEEZE. You may have to squeeze twice to make sure you fully smash the cap prong.
Thank you for viewing my blog tutorial!
