The past May I got the fun (kidless) joy of going to the Portland Spring Quilt Market. While there I came upon the coolest sewing idea I have ever seen, SWATCH BADDIES! Upon getting to play with these super cool cards I immediately had ideas going through my head on how to use them with my sewing business.
Swatch Buddies are 1″ x 2″ hard plastic cards with a hole punched in one end. You use their double sided adhesive tape (which is AWSEOME!) and stick it to back of your fabric. Trim around the tape with pinking shears, peal off the back and stick to your card. The Swatch Buddies also come with stickers for the back of the cards that make it easy to label your card with yardage, fabric name, and store you bought it at.
The Swatch Buddies are ideal for bringing fabrics for projects to the store with you to be able to color match. Ensuring you never buy the wrong color again! I personally am using Swatch Buddies to bring samples of all of my fabrics to the local farmers market with me.

Now for some pictures, I will have many more pictures to come later but this is just a teaser :p
As many of you know I am a cloth diaper maker. The above sample is JUST of my cotton velour colors. I still have a lot more swatch buddies to make!
Have fun getting your Swatch on!
